This is a NEW programme which has been started on the back of feedback from previous Cohorts and also from our Focus Groups both in Stirling and Clackmannan.
The Mentorship programme is exclusively for young people who have completed the
Employability Skills Development programme.

Mentorship Programme Proposal
1. Executive Summary
We propose a collaborative mentorship programme designed to support young people aged 15- 25 in their personal and professional development. This initiative will pair young participants with experienced professionals from partner organisations to foster guidance, build confidence, and improve employability outcomes.
2. Programme Objectives
- To provide young people with positive role models and trusted guidance.
- To support career readiness through skills development and industry exposure.
- To bridge the gap between education and employment.
- To promote social mobility and inclusion for underrepresented youth.
3. Target Group
- Age Range: 15–25 years
- Background: NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), school leavers, or underrepresented groups plus other priority groups
- Location: Forth Valley
4. Partner Organisation Involvement
We invite organisations to participate by providing:
- Mentors: Staff volunteers trained to engage with mentees monthly.
- Opportunities: Access to workplace visits, job shadowing, or guest speaking sessions.
- Support: In-kind support (e.g. space, technology) or financial sponsorship.

5. Programme Structure
Phase and Activities
Recruitment & Matching - Identify and screen mentors and mentees; match based on interests and goals
Orientation - Training for mentors and mentees on communication, expectations, safeguarding
Monthly Mentorship Meetings - One-on-one or group sessions (online/in-person)
Workshops & Events - Skills-based sessions (e.g., CV building, confidence, leadership)
Workplace Exposure - Job shadowing, company tours, speaker panels
Monitoring & Evaluation - Surveys, feedback sessions, progress reviews
Celebration - End-of-programme event and certification

7. Safeguarding & Risk Management
We take the safety and wellbeing of young people seriously:
- Enhanced PVG checks for all mentors (Scotland-specific)
- Safeguarding training and policy compliance
- Risk assessments for all in-person sessions
- Clear escalation procedures and supervision where necessary
8. Monitoring & Impact Measurement
We will collect data to assess programme success through:
- Pre- and post-programme surveys
- Mentor/mentee feedback forms
- Qualitative case studies
- Employment/education outcomes tracking (where possible)
- Annual impact report shared with partners
10. Call to Action
We are currently seeking committed partner organisations to:
- Nominate staff as mentors
- Provide support through resources or sponsorship
- Collaborate on workshop delivery or hosting events
