
ACTS (Adapted Curriculum Training and Support) Scotland Employability Skills Development programme (Stage 1 -2 Employability pipeline)
Learners complete an initial self-assessment with ASDAN Employability Skills Development to identify what they would like to improve and then choose from dozens activities to develop their skills for the workplace. The ASDAN activities are split into 12 sections which we cover in our ACTS Scotland Skills for Success course and the young people will gain a Certification through ASDAN :

Objectives of Programme
· building employability skills
· increased opportunities for young people across Stirling
· removing barriers to engagement
· building positive relationships
· strengthening existing partnerships and developing others
· individualised curriculum building for young people
· person-centred careers guidance and skills analysis
· programme has been strengthened with participation from young people
· a Youth Committee has been established with three young people from Bannockburn, Balfron Callander
Delivery
· programme running over 4 weeks with the participants coming twice a week for a six-hour session, which is face to face
· have the capacity and resources to run all the programmes with a maximum of 12 participants per cohort
· participants will complete twelve modules (note table below) of work, together with an additional Emergency 1st Aid Certification (SCQF Level 6), mental health and wellbeing workshop (KOOTH) to achieve the ASDAN Employability Skills Development Certification.
· each participant will engage in work-related programmes in a variety of contexts.
· activities are generic and can therefore be adapted to reflect the vocational interests of a range of users.
· programme is designed to equip participants with the skills, confidence and mindset needed to prepare them for employment.
· participants engage in hands on workshops, group activities, structured to mirror real life experiences, supported by DWP, JobCentre, Skills Development Scotland (World of Work), local business, trades persons, 3rd Sector organisations, Stirling Council (Jane Taylor)
· goal to build competence, plus also to boost self-belief and readiness for work or participants chosen career path
· constant feedback to schools, council and other stakeholders (DYW and SDS) delivered in local venue, Raploch Community Campus
